Inner Realms I - No. 4 "Bold Strokes for Different Folks" Original Painting

I loved painting this one right here! This one I painted later in the series and I felt like I was missing just something bold, big and fiery and passionate. I took some orange and some red and I took the biggest brush I could find and I just aggressively did the boldest biggest strokes that the paper could afford me. It felt so satisfying to just do a one and done stroke just once and I felt like I was really expressing how I am as a person.

A lot of the ways I make my moves in my life is that I do it once, I do it big, and I do it strong and then I clean it up as I go along. I always start with with big confident, bold strokes with a huge brush, and also this is a continuation of my enjoyment of blending different colors together and seeing how they bleed into each other. At this point in the series, I was using two hands to bleed the colors into each other because I didn’t want the watercolor to dry. You have to have the watercolor have the same texture and the same amount of wetness in order for them to bleed into each other so I remember using both hands to use to paint brushes to swirl the paints in together after the big bold strokes have already dried.
